API & Data Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 29, 2026

This page is the privacy policy for the Ashley Stewart Catalog Monitor, an internal business tool operated by Ashley Stewart's e-commerce team. The tool monitors the health and integrity of our own product-catalog feeds across marketing channels. It is not a consumer-facing product, has no public user accounts, and processes no consumer personal information. For Ashley Stewart's general customer privacy policy, see our main Privacy Policy page.

What data the tool processes

The tool reads our own product-catalog data (product identifiers, titles, prices, inventory status, product-page and image URLs) and, where we have granted API access, the status of those same catalog items on marketing platforms (for example whether an item is approved, disapproved, or out of date, and the platform's stated reason). All data relates to our own products — never to individual consumers.

Pinterest API data

  • The tool uses the Pinterest API to read the status of our own product catalog on Pinterest (catalog and item approval status).
  • The tool and Ashley Stewart are not endorsed by, certified by, or otherwise affiliated with Pinterest. "Pinterest" is a trademark of Pinterest, Inc.
  • Pinterest-derived data is used solely for internal monitoring of our own catalog health and is retained only in short-lived operational snapshots (90 days or less).
  • Upon disconnection of the Pinterest integration (revoking the app's access or deleting the access token), the tool stops all Pinterest API calls immediately and any stored Pinterest-derived data is deleted within 30 days through routine snapshot expiry, or sooner on request.
  • The tool does not sell, resell, license, or redistribute Pinterest content or Pinterest-derived data to any third party. Data is visible only to our own operations team.

Other platform APIs

The same commitments apply to data read from other connected platforms (Google Merchant Center, Meta, TikTok): internal monitoring use only, short-lived retention, deletion on disconnection, and no resale or redistribution to third parties.

Data sharing, storage and security

Data is stored on access-controlled infrastructure with credentials held securely, is not shared with third parties, and is not used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than feed-integrity monitoring and alerting our own staff.
